Christmas Eve traditions

Every Christmas Eve we give two gifts to the kids to open.  1.) a new pair of p.j.s, and 2.) a new ornament.  This year Rich wanted the boys to have some plain white shirts to wear as jammies or undershirts, so we went with those.  They weren't too thrilled about them at first, but once they put them on, they got a little more excited.  Cooper got a set of two p.j.s which turned out great because he soaked the pair below in pee that night and the next morning he wore his other new pair, which you'll see in the next post.

above: Julien and Jonah trying to look excited about a package of white shirts for their new p.j. tops.  But Cooper was truly excited about his new jammies!

Love these cute boys....

 Ornament time....

After putting Cooper to bed, I made these cuties pose with their matching jammies....
It sure is interesting to see how lively, healthy, and happy Jonah was in these pictures.  Little did we know that in just hours he would be horribly sick and hospitalized.  I love their sweet smiles.

The kid's ornaments this year......
Sweet Julien left Santa a sign that he had made....
And then Santa came and he almost got caught big time this year. Julien was up most of the night.
It's always so exciting to go to bed after everything is put out.  Rich and I have a hard time sleeping.  The anticipation of seeing our kid's faces makes us giddy.  But what a sad thing it was when we woke up to a very sick Jonah on Christmas morning.:(  That post to come.

Cooper turned 2!

Cooper baby had another birthday.  Our sweet little boy has hit his twos.  The good ol' terrible terrific twos.  Oye.  He is still the most adorable little guy, but just in the past few weeks has mastered the stinker role!  He is out to destroy reorganize our house constantly, and do everything all by himself!  He is quite independent these days and definitely makes that clear.  But really, can he get any cuter?!  I'm so in love.

stuck his hands in the fireplace.

These pictures above and below were all taken on his real birthday.  It's a little tricky having a birthday so close to Christmas (just 2 days before).  These pictures above were taken earlier in the day while we had a little down time.  (Every kid gets a little extra camera attention on their birthday)!  Later, Cooper and Jonah headed out with Rich to do some last minute Christmas shopping.  Julien and I stayed back and decorated for the little cutie.
We definitely went with the Pooh Bear balloon, since Cooper is obsessed with him.
Pooh Bear wrapping paper: check!  Pooh Bear Mickey plates: check!  Adorable birthday sign made by big brother: check!
After Julien and I finished up the baking and decorating, we met my dad, Rich, Jonah, and the birthday boy over at Logan's Road House for dinner, because we had a gift card to the place!  Once that was done, we headed home for some cheesecake, cookies, and presents.  Cooper LOVED his Pooh Bear balloon!!
Above: so funny how Jonah's pose does not change:).
Cooper got some new clothes from his aunt Reese (thanks Reese!) and we got him some foam building blocks.

Happy 2nd Birthday to our precious boy!  We love you soooo much!!!!!!
