Richie's 32nd Birthday!

My man is getting old! He turned 32 yesterday! He had a day off on Thursday so we celebrated then. I'm just finally posting this because my computer got messed up yesterday. We just spent the day hanging out around the house, took the kids to play at the mall (where there is an indoor playground), and then came home for a roast dinner. I also made him a cheesecake. He told me he grew up having cheesecake for his birthday, so that's what he wanted. I've never made one before, but it turned out great; I will admit:)!

So I'm stealing my sister-in-law's idea here... and it is going to be mushy! I am not usually one to get all mushy about my husband, over my blog, but here it goes!

32 Things I Love about Rich!

1. He loves to grow and make changes that make him a better person.

2. He is one of the most forgiving people I know.

3. He gives people the benefit of the doubt.

4. He loves his family and loves to spend time with us/them.

5. He is a very hard worker!

6. Every morning when his alarm goes off, he gets up to make $ for our family without a complaint..and I know he is so tired (because we stay up much too late), but he happily does it.

7. He is willing to take risks!

8. He is a dreamer and isn't afraid to think outside of the box.

9. He cares about his appearance and always looks/smells nice.

10. He still gives me so many compliments, even after 5 1/2 yrs of marriage.

11. He loves the gospel!

12. We can have deep conversations about anything.

13. He texts me and calls me throughout the day just to check in, flirt, or chat for a while.

14. He is my best friend and I can tell him anything and feel completely comfortable, yet, I still get a nervous, excited feeling as he walks in the door.

15. 99.9% of the time we have the exact same taste when it comes to houses or decorating.

16. He is an amazing father! He cares so much about our boys; shows interest; spends time with them; and talks to them and listens carefully to them. I could go on and on about this. Our boys are blessed to have him as their dad!

17. Anytime the kids do something cute, I know that he will love hearing about it just as much as I enjoyed witnessing it. He is truly interested in them.

18. He gets excited and giddy about little things, like when I make cookies, or his favorite show is on, or if I want to watch a movie with him. He is so cute.

19. He has the most adorable ears ever. I'm like a dog and his ears are the bone...I have to hold myself back from chewing them.:)

20. If he is home while I am on the phone, he gets a little jealous and tries to steal my attention by being goofy, loud, or trying to distract me. It's kind of annoying at the time, but it is still cute.

21. He is an awesome husband! He is always willing to strive harder and work as a team.

22. He is great with people!

23. He is charming!

24. He hates video games and I'm so glad about that.

25. He believes in himself and in others.

26. I think he can do anything he puts his mind to because he is talented, has the drive, and has great people skills.

27. He values stay at home mothers and has always respected my role and shows his appreciation for what I do.

28. He loves to make me happy and is so generous to me..it just makes me want to give more in return.

29. He has great faith!

30. He can't stand a "victim" mentality, and always takes responsibility for his own actions.

31. When I read books about leaders and winners, I am amazed at how my husband possesses so many of thos
e great qualities!

32. I truly feel that I married a man that understands me; forgives me for all of my short comings, immaturities, and weaknesses. He has been patient with me as I learn to be a wife, a mother, a homemaker, and everything else I strive to become. He has stood by me when I have been weak, irrational, pathetic, stressed, overwhelmed, and so many other embarrassing times. He is my man and although we have not had the perfect marriage or circumstances, he continues to grow and helps me grow too. I love him so much, and as time goes on, I am more attracted to him, proud of him, admire him more, and feel so blessed to have him as my eternal companion.

HAPPY 32nd BIRTHDAY BABE!

Welcome Spring???

Last Monday we woke up to snow. We are still not used to this cold weather, and I don't think we ever want to get used to it. But I was a little excited about it because we are always stuck inside. It gets old! So anyway, I figured we needed to get out of the house and take advantage of the snow while we still have it. We are moving to Texas in a few weeks and we will say bye-bye to snow and cold weather!!!! We are craving to be outside in the sun, having a picnic, playing catch, whatever, just give us some warmth! Anyway, we welcomed spring, here in Idaho, by playing outback and building a snow slide, last Monday. It was fun, but wayyy too cold.
Doesn't it look like such a warm Spring day?! I love this picture!

Julien's Singing Class

Rich's wonderful aunt Cindy lives here in Pocatello and started a singing and performance business years and years ago. It is called Tavaci. It is an awesome thing! I know I'll get the numbers and facts wrong if I try, but I do know that there are now a bunch of Tavaci(s) all over the U.S. and each week she has a bunch of kids coming in and out of her house for class. When we moved here, she was excited to have Julien in Tavaci. Cindy no longer teaches, but she is still very busy (believe me, I know, I just spent the past week at her house, painting, and she was crazy busy)! Anyway, so every Tuesday Julien gets to go to her house (they have a little studio there) and is a part of Tavaci! They don't just sing; they do cute little movements to go with the lyrics! At the end of the season they have a big concert in town with all of the classes, and there are about 500 people that come to watch. Here are some pictures and videos from this past Tuesday! Julien just kills me in this first video when he does the head banging thing. I couldn't keep the camera still because I was laughing. Watch his face. It is kind of a long video but funny and the kids are too cute! I'll have to get some more videos next week of other songs!

This is the face that kills me! (below)

They always get a treat at the end of the class. It usually goes with the theme that they had for the day.

Julien's little class

Thank you Aunt Cindy for all you do! Julien is very blessed by this!

My baby is 3!

Jonah turned 3 on Thursday. How is he already 3?! We celebrated his birthday with just our little family. I love birthdays and I feel like they are a big deal because we get to celebrate one more year that we have been able to be together as a family. We're so thankful for our happy healthy boy! He loves cars so I attempted to make him a car cake. Jonah had fun and was so excited that it was his "birday." Julien was also very excited about it being Jonah's birthday (maybe even more than Jonah).

So, the cake...If you saw the picture I was trying to copy, my cake looks pathetic compared to that one! It was leaning to one side, I ran out of frosting, and right when I started adding the blue lines, my little tool broke so the lines are a bit shaky. But all in all it looks like a car, right? (Maybe a bit unproportional). Jonah loved it though and that's all that matters!!
Julien got Jonah a little truck, and it was very exciting for Julien to give it to him because he had picked it out himself. Jonah loved it!
Rich's dad gave Jonah this Honda truck since Rich sells Hondas. Right when Jonah opened it, he said, "Daddy's work!" I loved it.

We bought Jonah a Hot Wheels race car track and as Rich started taking it out of the box, this was Jonah's expression! He loves that toy!

Also, a thank you to my sister and Wes for sending Jonah some cute clothes! I didn't get a picture of him opening those, but did get a video that I will send to you (Lorisa).

Happy Birthday Jonah!!!!!
