Things that melt my heart...

All moms love the things that their kids make, I know. A homemade card or picture is better than any gift they could buy for me.. mothers truly feel this way. I just wanted to post some of these adorable pieces that Julien has brought home from school. These are just a few of my favs. I love the way they look, but I also love it when he tells me all about each picture and his sweet creativity. His teacher has them sound out words (Mi Famle). My favorite thing about this picture is Mom's baby bump!

This one is a peacock that is being protected from the rain under his little home. Above that...(these are his words), "and this is a plane, but it's not really a plane, it's like one of those...(thinking)...what do you call them on the golf channel?" Me: "a blimp." Julien: "Yeah, it's a blimp!" haha!

I love how the fish has fins and legs (he calls it a walker fish), and has a balloon attached to him. That is a family of jelly fish that "are going to sting the fish." And I love how he drew a plane and a sun and sky all in the same under-water-scene picture.

Front of the "love card." Inside of the "love card."
I picked him up last week, and he said, "Mom, I made you a love card today, because I love you so much!!!" Yep, it melted me! The front of the card says Jonah Julien because our kids are always practicing writing each others names these days. The inside....well, it definitely says love to me! The red thing above the flower that is between the 2 cars,.. he said it was, "a plane, but it looks like a diaper, doesn't it!" haha. I love it, Julien!!!! Thank you, Buddy!

Pregnancy Items Review

(See below for items). For those who were interested on how my recent purchases are working out for me, read on. Starting with the pillow...I really like it. So far my joints are in so much less pain since I've been sleeping with it. I still have pain, but it's now a lot more tolerable. The pillow must support me that much more. So for that alone, I give it a good review. My husband, however, well, poor guy. He calls it "the dragon," or "this snake in my bed." This thing is seriously huge. Luckily we have a king sized bed, otherwise, one of us would probably be on the couch. It really takes up a lot of the bed. The first night he got in bed with "the dragon," he rolled over and said, "goodbye wife." It's like a wall between us now. I'm sure he can deal with this intruder in our bed better than he could deal with a wife who can hardly walk, so all is well.

The pregnancy belt. Well, I'm going to disappoint you people who were curious to know, because I don't have much to say about it. It's been sitting in the box on my dresser for a couple of weeks now. When I first got it, I took it out, tried to put it on, and it made no sense. I think they forgot to sew it properly because it didn't match up with the picture directions. Even then, I tried to improvise and the thing was so huge that I felt like I was wearing a really uncomfortable back brace, and I couldn't imagine putting my clothes over this thing. I think I ordered a size too big. Also, the way it fit me only caused me to have Braxton Hick contractions, so in the box it went. I was planning on returning it until the other night. The other night (it was the end of the day) I was catching up on some chores and I was feeling like the baby was going to kick right through my belly button. Either that, or my stomach muscles were ripping open. So I was walking around holding up my tummy. I got so desperate that I took out the belt again. I thought, "okay, this time, I'm going to figure this thing out, and make it work!" No, I still couldn't get it right (I'm telling you, I think they messed up making this thing), so I put it on backward over my clothes, straps all twisted, but I made it hold my belly up and the pain finally went away. I just wore it over my clothes and I looked really hot, I'm sure! But it did the trick. So I think I may just keep it for the times when I'm home and I want some relief, even if I have to wear it backward. Luckily the pillow has given me the most relief and I'm not so desperate for the belt. So, sorry to disappoint with my really odd review here, but that's all I have for you!
