Julien started kindergarten today! He woke up at 5:30 am (on his own...never wakes up that early)! He woke me up and said, "Mom, I'm going to school today! I can't sleep!" I told him to try to sleep a little more, so he went back to bed. As soon as my alarm went off at 6am he came running in and didn't want to go back to bed. He was so cute.
...and for little brother, not such a happy morning.
It's not easy dropping your best friend off at school!

This is right after we left Julien...Jonah holding in the tears. He said in the saddest voice, "I don't want to leaf Ju Ju. I miss Ju Ju."
After we said goodbye to Julien, we then went to the library for a "Tears and Cheers breakfast" for all the kindergarten parents. Jonah pretty much stayed in a corner looking like this the whole time. Not even a blueberry muffin could cheer him up. Poor kid.So it went well! It's hard to believe that he is in school now, 7 hours a day! We are so excited for him though! As you could see in the pictures, Julien was very ready and excited! How I wish I could be a fly on the wall in his classroom today. I can't wait to hear all about it when he gets home!
Oh, and now that we are home, Jonah is happy as can be. He is a little more clingy, but that's okay. I am excited to have some one on one time with Jonah. We have 4 months before the baby comes, so that will be great for Jonah and I! I love my kids:).

ReplyDeleteThe pictures of Jonah's precious little face broke my heart. Poor little buddy:(. Glad he was better at home though:). Julien looks soooo adorable on his first day of school. What an exciting day!! I still remember the first days of school. I hope he has a wonderful first day!!

ReplyDeleteI love my nephew! Such a cute post. I love how adorable and old he looks on his first day of school. I remember the second he was born. :( Such a grown up boy. So sad for Jonah, but he will love the extra time with mommy. Thanks for sharing the great pics.

ReplyDeleteHow fun!! But very sad for Jonah- Chloe pretty much just gets angry especially on the days that Hailey goes to school too.
