iPhone Pics from December

Ever since I got my iphone back in November, I have been really bad about using my good camera.  So I'm sure I'll have lots of post with iphone pics each month.  Most are on my instagram, but my family isn't on instagram, so I'll post some here too.

The three of us went to Players, a new restaurant that we wanted to try, for lunch one day.  Very tasty!  Cooper is so lucky, he gets to go on lots of lunch dates with us.

After lunch, we went to Walmart to check out some bikes.  We knew we wanted to get the older boys bikes for Christmas, so we went while they were in school.  While we were there, Cooper found "his" bike.  He had gotten a new bike recently and he found the same one there that day.  He jumped on that thing and took off all over the store.  It wasn't crowded at all so we let him.  Plus, there is just something about Walmart that  makes it "okay," because I swear I wouldn't let him do that Target!

I may have just had the giggles that day, but I could not stop laughing every time he zoomed by.  He rode around like he owned that store.  I thought people would get mad, but they just laughed.  He had a blast.  Oh man, it makes me laugh just thinking about it.  Had to be there!

I saw something kind of like this on Pinterest and loved it.  Rich just chopped some twigs off one of our trees for me and I popped some new ornaments on it.  The vase was on clearance at Micheal's and I love it.  I tried to bring in a different look this Christmas with the color scheme you see above.  It turned out nice, but I was really missing the red.  I think next year I'll change it up again.

We had an FHE lesson on the importance of keeping a journal.  Wish I could say we've all been sticking to that, but that's not the case.  We all did do a few entries though (need to get back to that!).  Here is one that Julien brought to me one night and made me burst into tears.

I love love love when the kids bring home stuff like this! This was one Jonah made.

This was some random movie night and I caught them snuggling.  Love when this happens!!

Jonah brought home our Christmas present that he made for us at school.  It was all wrapped up and he couldn't wait another second for us to open it.  I melted when I saw it.  Yes, that is out family.  But it's also our backyard.  That is a pretty good picture of our swing set.  My favorite part is the little turtle sandbox he drew under the tower.  So so cute and I just love it!!

One of our traditions is to make a gingerbread house.  Usually we do it at the beginning of Dec, but with me working, it didn't happen until just before Christmas.  The older boys took off and left the work to Cooper and I.  He loved every second of it.  He's always wanting to help me do everything in the kitchen.  But the older boys did come back and decorated the roof.

One day we were late for church (Surprise! Not!) and these two were melted my heart looking at gospel pictures together in the foyer.  Oh these two, what a bond they have, I tell you!

Julien's Christmas play at school; "The Grinch."  Very cute!  This was just days after the school shooting in Connecticut.  It made us all tear up listening to their precious voices.

I had been dying to check out the Temple lights all month, and finally drove over there one night while I was out on my own.  The Tabernacle Choir was playing and then the story of Christ's birth was read.  I didn't want to leave but I was freezing and had to go get dinner for the fam.  I'm so grateful to live near the temple!

I quit my job just before Christmas.  It was a temporary thing.  Although, I loved who I worked for and who I worked with, my heart was aching to get back to normal as 100% mommy/wife.  This was a Christmas gift the employees got, which I thought was pretty nice!!

My baby boy turned 3!  He was so excited to get a card and gift card in the mail from Grandma and Grandpa.
