Chuck E Cheese

The kids filled up their bean jar (a jar for good behavior, nice work, being helpful, etc.), so we took them to Chuck E Cheese.  They absolutely love that place and had the best time ever. 

One little memory from that day that I wanted to write down was about Julien.  Julien is 7 years old and still very innocent and gullible.  When we got to Chuck E. Cheese, he was concerned whether or not Chuck E. would make an appearance that night.  Rich then pretended to text Chuck E. to ask him when he would be coming out.  Julien was a little sceptical whether Rich was really texting Chuck E Cheese, but he kind of played it on the safe side like, "yeah right, Dad."  While Julien was off playing Rich asked one of the employees there when Chuck E. would come out.  They said he was coming out in 10 minutes.  Within that ten minutes Julien came back to our table and asked Rich again if Chuck E. was coming out.  Rich said, "oh, yeah, he just texted me back, he'll be out in a couple of minutes."  So Julien got really excited and just a minute later Chuck E. walked out.  He made his way towards our table and Julien gave him a big hug.  Chuck E. doesn't talk, ya know.  He just has a perma-smile and nods his head.  So Julien asked him, "Did my dad text you?!?"  Chuck E. probably couldn't even hear him because it was so loud in there and he just did his typical nodding and smiling.  Julien then got the biggest smile ever and said, "Oh, I knew he did!  I knew my dad texted you!"  How cool is that, that his Dad actually text messaged Chuck E. Cheese himself!  Priceless.
