So I said: "come give me a hug and kiss first."
Jonah: "Hhhh, why you always say that, Mom?"
Me: "Cause, I'm your mommy and I love you."
Jonah: "Hhhh, Mommm."
Me: "You're my little Ham."
Jonah: "NO! I just not piiinnkk!
Me: "Bahaha!"
This was particularly funny because Jonah takes everything literally. Anytime, I say something like, "Come here, Pumpkin," "You're so cute, " "Hi, Baby Boy," etc... Jonah's response is the same, "Hhhh. I just JONAH!" He is not my Mr. affectionate, like Julien, but I love him just the same.
Speaking of "I just Jonah," last weekend, I sat down with the kids to look for ideas online for a Halloween costume. (By the way, I'm SO excited about Julien's costume)!! Everything we looked at, Jonah did not want to be. Julien kept suggesting some great costumes to him, and he just kept saying no to all of them. Jonah said, "I don't want to be anything that's mad!" But it really didn't matter what we suggested (Diego, Bob the Builder, Curious George, etc.), in the end his final conclusion was, "I just want to be Jonah!" So once again, (this was a challenge last year), I probably have to wait until the last minute to see if Jonah will put on a costume and join us for the fun.
If it were up to me, this is one costume I would love to see on Jonah! Haha, this is awesome!

ReplyDeleteLuke does the same thing if I say, "Mr. Luke" or something like that. His response, "No, I'm just Luke." or "I'm just a BOY."
