Our Idaho Trip!

About 2 weeks ago, we drove up to Idaho to visit Rich's dad and step mom. We hadn't been anywhere away from home in so long, so it was great to get away and visit with them. So much has happened since, so I am regretting not doing this post sooner, but I didn't want to leave it out. Thanks for a wonderful time, Jerry and Michelle! Can't wait to see you guys again!!! Here are some pictures of Idaho, and our way home...
The second day that we were in Idaho, Rich's step mom, Michelle, was talking about how she wanted to do something different to her guest bathroom. It's a big bathroom! I recently redid my guest bathroom at home, so I showed her a picture of it from my computer and she fell in love with the colors and said, "we're doing it!" So that day we went to Home Depot and bought paint, supplies, and all new outlet plates, light fixture, and other fixtures for the bathroom. I spent the next few days painting. FUN! I love doing stuff like that. The only bummer was that we ran out of time to finish everything, and I hate not finishing something. I had a vision and I didn't get to complete it, but Jerry and Michelle said they would finish it. So here are the before and after pictures.

BEFORE (top) & AFTER (bottom)

So the unfinished lists consists of: On the bottom of the cabnits (near the floor), is not painted because I was asked not to do that part because they are replacing the old floor with tile and will do it later; there will be a mirror over each sink with gorgeous thick black frames; there will also be towel racks on a different wall and some decor. So all in all, I like it, but like I said, it drives me nuts to not finish it. I also wanted to antique the cabnits a bit by sanding parts of it, but they wanted to keep it like that. I had fun doing that and can't wait until they send me pictures of the finished project!

Rich cutting his dad's hair/Michelle taking pictures of her new bathroom. (unfortunately the only shots I got of them)!

On our home from Idaho, we stopped in Salt Lake City and spent about 2 hours there. We wanted to stay there longer because there is so much to do at temple square and we love it there, but we needed to get back on the road. So here are some pictures...

Temple square is AMAZING! The spirit is so strong there and everything is so beautiful!

Wow, how 'bout that, a family picture...(thanks to a sweet sister missionary)!
